Friedman CJE’s J.N. Somers YAD Hebrew School for Children with Special Needs provides a developmentally appropriate Jewish educational environment for children who learn most effectively in a multi-sensory, small class setting. YAD is the only Sunday religious and Hebrew school in the greater Palm Beaches specifically designed to ensure children with special educational needs receive a real and engaging Jewish education.
Children ages 4 through 18 strengthen their Jewish identity in a barrier free environment. The program promotes and assists students in becoming Bar and Bat Mitzvah, offering families a meaningful life cycle moment that might otherwise not have been possible.
