Objectives:
At the conclusion of this educational activity, the participant will be able to:
Review the pathophysiology of asthma and emerging data on chronic inflammation, airway remodeling, and bronchial hyperresponsiveness.
Discuss evidence based strategies for classifying asthma severity, initiating therapy, and achieving asthma control.
Identify strategies to overcome barriers to care and improve outcomes in patients with difficult to manage asthma.
Target Audience
Members and Guests of the Palm Beach County Pediatric Society, Pediatric Dentists, pulmonologists, primary care physicians, internal medicine physicians, physician assistants, nurses, respiratory therapists, and any healthcare provider who treats pediatric patients with asthma.

Palm Beach Pediatric Society meetings are only open to our members and guests of our physician members. Our medical meetings offer continuing physician education. Industry Partner Limited Members, non-profit representatives, for-profit business representatives and non-physician hospital representatives are welcome to help support our society through the purchase of a display. Each purchased display is invited to include five registered reception attendees. Participation in the CME dinner presentation is not included. This meeting is not open to the entire pediatric community like our March 6, 2014 Children's Services Fair event, except for the display/exhibitor opportunity.
